The Royal Palm Turkey is a small homestead breed of turkey. White with contrasting black banding, they are very striking. Developed in the 1920’s in Florida, they are listed as “critical” by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy. Tom’s are about 16 pounds, hens 10 pounds. We plan to have about 10 available for Thanksgiving and Christmas. A refundable deposit of $35 will hold a bird for you.

The Narragansett Turkey is one of the oldest breeds, having been developed in Rhode Island in the 17th century. Though not quite as striking as Royal Palm, they are still a very attractive bird. They are listed as “threatened” by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy but are once again becoming a commercially raised bird due to their hardiness and exceptional flavor. Toms are 22 to 28 pounds, hens 12 to 16 pounds. We plan to have about 10 available for Thanksgiving and Christmas. A refundable deposit of $35 will hold a bird for you.
